The Journal of Joan of Arc Studies publishes articles related to the life, military campaigns, and society of La Pucelle and her contemporaries.
A principal focus of the journal will be the presentation of primary source documents and examinations of the historical context: e.g., data related to the military campaigns of 1429-1430 compiled from garrison and contingent records; translations or transcriptions of letters and government archival material concerning Joan of Arc and her circumstances; examinations of Inquisitorial law and 15th century theology; and other such materials. The publication will generally emphasize research data over theory, with a preference for articles written via a collaborative process by several authors.
